Gervonta Davis Retains Title with Second-Round Knockout of Frank Martin

Martin put up a valiant effort, but Davis' power proved to be too much.

Gervonta "Tank" Davis retained his WBA (Regular) lightweight title with a second-round knockout of Frank Martin on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Davis dropped Martin with a left hook to the body in the first round, and he finished him off with a right uppercut in the second.

Martin was making his first title defense and was looking to upset the heavily favored Davis, but he was simply outmatched.

Davis is now 30-0 with 24 knockouts, and he is considered one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world.

Martin falls to 20-1 with 13 knockouts.
